I hate text messaging. I cannot deny that. Texting and also things like Snapchat, Kik, etc. I find them all annoying. Even Skype is annoying because I believe there's no point to video chat if you live close and can meet (if you have a long distance relationship and your GF lives in e.g. Italy then I can understand).
I've tried to avoid them and just call and ask straight up the old fashioned way for dates instead like the older more mature men tell you to do. This works probably for more mature women (35+), but I'm not 35+. I've done a lot of research and found out 'calls' turn women off.
I can't be a dinosaur anymore. I suppose I need to learn how to use this as a guy. It's like texting can make or break you. Texting game seems harder than game in real life. I've messed up so many times. It's like women have dominance in this texting game.
Any advice on 'text' game? It seems like there's so many unwritten rules (or we just don't know because it's new technology). Here's the general impression I'm getting:
* 10+ minute rule: text too soon and you look desperate.
* Avoid text convo at all costs (even when she's hardcore pushing for it) and only text to organise meetings and dates.
* Avoid smileys to be safe, but using them sparingly is ok.
* Avoid long texts at all costs.
* Avoid using a lot of 'lols' and 'hahas': one way to the friendzone?
* Never put kisses on the text if she doesn't. You look desperate
