I've been doing quite a bit of reading in the CWI section lately. It seems that "affair fog" tends to really interfere with people's judgement and ability to act rationally. That got me to wondering if there are any examples in history of, let's say, less than stellar decision making that might be attributed to said fog?
One that comes to my mind was in the life of King David when he was in the middle of his affair with Bathsheba and had her husband sent to the front. Perhaps that was the fog talking? Are there other, more "obvious" examples?

Put the internet to work for you.
