Basically, I was with my ex for pretty much a year. However, when I first met him he didn't want another relationship as he'd just finished with his previous (he cheated on her and she was pretty damn controlling) anywho, we were pretty much just friends with benefits for a few months, then feelings started to come and we acted like a couple, but he really wanted to give it time and told me he had to be sure that he wanted this, anyway we wont home from university in easter and we came back and that's when he realised he did want to be with me so yeah we got together. However, me and him had to deal with his ex through most of our relationship, she'd constantly harras me, harras him etc and he couldn't really become enemies with her because they hung out in the same friendship group. But eventually it got to the point where I asked him to ignore her and he did but he ended up getting stupidly pissed off with her because she was constantly harrasing me and just being a complete bitch. So yeah, they stopped talking for a while and I was pretty sure he was over her, I mean he never brought her up ever, it would only be me who did when she was harrasing me. So anyway, we were awesome for a while, waited around 4 months for one another because he was working abroad, we managed to stay strong and get through that, he told me he'd never felt the way he did about anybody, how I was the first person he ever actually thought about a future with and he was stupidly nice, like different to what he had been with his ex, then long story short, I became depressed and started pushing him away and arguing with him non stop, then he cheated with some girl he hardly knew. We're not together anymore and he's hooking up with this new girl, but he's also become friends with his ex again. I'm not sure if they're sleeping together but they probably will because he slept with her after they split up anyway. So, was I a rebound?:(
