I just recently read a news story where a father shot his 14 year old stepdaughter dead after he thought she was a burglar. The law mentioned in the title could make it possible that he won't be charged at all. According to witness he shot her three times without a warning and he is currently not in police custody. I can't even begin to understand the pain her mother is going through.
