Just one of those typical "does she like me?" questions.
So, there's this girl, we get on well, we talk quite easily to each other, she laughs at my jokes etc.
She was hanging out, not dating, but hanging out for a short time with another guy recently as they were playing characters in a play who were husband and wife. I'm not sure how much they like each other, I mean they hug and he does seem quite protective over her at times but he said that "she's too young for me". I've noticed a few times that when he's gone to hug her she's brushed him away. She's told me that he pays more interest in other girls. I'm not sure if she's jealous because of this, but I get the impression that she thinks that he doesn't like her. For what it's worth, I myself am getting over a girl I liked.
We'd talked on and off previously and she'd do little things for me like offering me her food or asking me if I got home ok. Anyway, one evening we were out with a group of people (including the other guy), and she asked ME to walk her back to the pub. I did so, we walked and talked, I'm a quiet kind of guy, but I can talk to her well enough. It was then that she told me that she didn't think the other guy liked her. I told her that I wasn't sure if he did. She then began asking me questions about myself, where I live etc., and we talked about the subjects that she's studying.
Back at the pub, I offered to buy a guy a drink. She was mixing with a different group by this stage but she suddenly piped up and said for everyone to hear "Aw, [my name], you're so sweet." I should point out that the other guy was not around. At the end of the night, when I was about to leave, she came up to me and gave me the biggest hug, a long squeeze complete with what I can only describe as 'sounds of affection". I told her that I think she's lovely and that I hoped to see her soon. She replied that she thinks I'm so nice and that she hoped so too.
So, does it look like she likes me as a friend or potentially more? It's her birthday party soon, so I'm thinking of maybe making a move.
