| Hey folks, I'm new here. Stumbled across the forum and find it very useful and I look forward to offering my help and contribution. I'd like to ask the same from you. Here's my story: A while ago, I was out with some friends and met a stunning lady, someone who I would consider way out of my league, but we hit things off nonetheless and that night she wouldn't stop complimenting me, which I'm not used to but I really did enjoy it. In the past, I've had bad luck. I'd meet someone, they'd seem interested, they'd ask for my number or give me theirs, and then I would never hear from them again. Sadly enough, I'm almost used to it. And I expected nothing less out of this situation, even though obviously I hoped something would come from it. So, I left her with my number. The next morning I slept in, waking up just in time for work. Saw that I had no messages from her, so I figured it was just another one of those times. About two hours into my work day, I looked at my phone and saw that I had missed a phone call, one voicemail, and a few texts. She actually messaged me! I was extremely happy. And that voicemail too, was from her and that just put the icing on the cake. I was on cloud 9, I couldn't believe that this smoking hot woman was contacting me. Needless to say, I didn't pay attention very much that day at work, I was busy texting her here and there. Her voicemail said that she basically couldn't wait to see me again, and that we should set something up soon. She was even busy sending me her favourite pictures of her, I sent her ones too, and all that good stuff. After work, I went home, washed up, and landed up going out for a couple of beers with my friends. She was texting me, so I decided to step outside for a smoke and call her. We talked for a good hour, and nothing had changed... she was still complimenting me endlessly, (and I was doing the same to her), and was still expressing interest in getting together soon. We hung up the phone, texted a few more times, and then she went to bed and I finished up my beers and went home. Unfortunately, this is where the good stuff starts ending. The next day, she didn't contact me at all until I messaged her. And even when I did, she wouldn't reply for hours. And when I would answer those right back, it would still take forever for her to respond. I know the hours she works, so I dont bother contacting her during that period. And now, it's literally come to the point where she won't message me unless I do it first, and even then, she leaves a lot of my texts unanswered big time. She made the first move right from the get-go, and now has just literally dropped off the face of the earth. I can't figure her out. I should also mention that there is a bit of an age difference between us, of 13 years. She's older than I am. I know she works full time, and has some things to do in the evenings, but I also know it's not every day. I really don't know where all her eagerness went to. I'm so tempted to text her all the time, and I did, but now I feel like I'm coming across as annoying or desperate for her to say something - anything - to me. And I don't do well with rejection. Can anyone help me out here? | |||
