6 Wks NC email time?

Quick version of what happen she walked out after 6 years and we're both in our 50's and have been married before. I was devastated but I'm doing a lot better now thanks to family and IC I certainly need to do more work with getting back to my old self but I'm feeling a little better each day. There has been NC for 6 weeks and I'm wonder hows she's doing but I honestly don't know if I could let her back in my life not after leaving me in such a way. Hard to believe I'm saying this because I thought I was on my way to a complete breakdown when she left me high and dry, I was such a mess. I have no idea if she will reply to my harmless email asking for a pic of our dog we lost a couple years ago, the dog was special to both of us. Also I'm adding how I'm doing without great detail. The truth be told I wonder if this could spark any interest from her? Does she miss me? Do I still care? But I honestly want the pic too. Please note there was never any cheating, verbal or physical abuse ....I did drink too much though. I never thought I would say thanks for our break up but it has done me a wonder of good. I'm digging out of my old rut with the help of counselling and discovering how to be a better me, as it's easy to say "I can change" but to actually do so I needed help. Don't get me wrong; I do miss you, your family and of course the dogs. I find myself smiling when I find (another dog) treats hidden away. My favourite pic of (dog) is on your computer, all I have found is a print I made and it's in rough shape. I asked my son and he can't find his copy.
