Getting irritated with my wife

First time poster.

My wife has a bad habit of pointing out usually in a very blunt fashion things I do that she doesn't think i should. It's more like she is playing devils advocate. For example.

This is stupid, but she felt the need to tell me that I mentioned too many times that i was disappointed with a meal at a local place we have been going to for years. We live in a small town and don't have a lot of options, but we are big supporters of local and try to be reasonable. This particular instance i was disappoint again and i mentioned that the inconsistencies were getting old. We were with friends who all feel the same, but because I mentioned it too many times she got irritated with me and told me that i ruined the conversation. This is an example, but these little issues seem to happen a lot. I am old school and don't like spending money when you really know your'e getting bad service or food or whatever, but so are most people.. In fact I notice all the time in our town people busting on a business or whatever. Anyway, because I mention it too much it causes a problem. The issue i have is that i feel she doesn't just see what i am saying in fact a lot of times she will voice the exact opposite on a simple issue when it clearly doesn't have to be mentioned. Just let someone have their opinion and if that person is irritated just leave them be. I find she can't.

The big problem with all this is that i get to the point with her where I get frustrated and angry. So, what's the big deal. Just let someone voice their opinion and don't take is so seriously and really don't say the opposite right back when you know they are frustrated, it just puts fuel on the fire.

What should i do. I have told her this a lot over the years, but it still happens. Does anyone else feel their spouse never sees their point and is always giving them grief for their opinions being said too much. I was having a great day until then and that seems to happen like that a lot.
