I find it particularly amusing that a spoon-fed, white bread, "Meriken" has anything to even say about immigrants. I wonder if she was ever invited into the home of a Mexican family who were poor, yet they "broke bread" with their guest because it is "what folk do". She had such an insulated childhood, yet she feels she can talk about "knowing" these folks, yes? Guess what? I know them. They were my neighbors. They were my friends.
I wonder if she ever grew up with a friend that had a hispanic surname.
I can't believe I used to listen to the vitriol and hatred of the fascist GOP'ers.
I've got a question for you Ann...Do you enjoy paying less than $2 dollars for a head of lettuce? Less than 3 dollars for a basket of strawberries? Thank an immigrant because no American would "lower" themselves to do the work that these folks do. How do I know that? I grew up in migrant farm working town...that's how.
