Looking for some feedback from others as I am trying to see what others do.
We are very comfortable financially. We have a budget that we try to stick to but things outside come up and we try to address.
One of those is trips. We have together trips planned each year. Unfortunately my wife has no friends. I do, and like to travel with them as well each year.
So again when this year came up to travel with one of my friends I was met with fairly harsh criticism for even asking. Apparently not in the budget and not comfortable in my wife's books to spend money on another trip.
As people here know I have beat cancer recently and am skewed now forever when it comes to these friend trips. Frankly I know we can afford for me to go away for a few days each year, but my wife's view of finances is much more frugal than mine.
I appreciate her for that. It is just that sometimes it is hard to work with. So just wondering when things like this come up for others, how do you work your differences out?
