What do you do when your spouse totally lets their body and health go to pot?
Early in our marriage my spouse made it clear there would be little interest in me physically if I got fat. Consequently, I've stayed in shape, and my spouse has become a couch potato. (I'm intentionally being gender neutral since this issue goes both ways.) We all get old and can't help that, but we have total control over taking care of ourselves. I like being active and want to get out and do things now that the kids can keep up. My spouse wants to sit around and watch TV. I can't talk about it or I get a cold shoulder for days while three more bags of chips disappear.
I would much rather play football than watch it while snarfing hot wings!
It might be different if he didn't constantly make derogatory remarks about overweight women. Now, when he says, "gross, she is so fat, how can he stand to touch her." I want to smack him and say, "I know how he feels!"

Put the internet to work for you.
