Long story so I'll make it as concise as possible
I met up with a guy in December who I'd met on a dating website (he's the one who wanted to meet up if that makes a difference later) and we went on a couple of dates. The first one got slightly physical (mainly just kissing minus shirts at the most) and so I felt confident enough that he didn't find me utterly unattractive, as he'd asked me out on a second date.
When I asked about meeting up after New Years, he said yes but said only as friends because he was extremely busy with work/applications for courses. I sort of assumed that was the end of it as this to me seems like code for 'this isn't going to work out but I'm too polite to say so'. Since then though we've texted pretty much every day and met up a few times so I really don't know what's going on.
I sent a drunk text back in early February asking what was going on, but again I got the 'I'm really busy with work'- which he does genuinely seem to be- excuse, so I don't know whether this is genuinely something that can eventually be worked on, or whether this is a really annoying way of letting me know he's not interested, while at the same time meeting up on a regular basis (which just seems silly to me)
I don't know if anyone's been in this situation before or has any idea what this guy might be thinking but it's just tiring being friends with someone you have feelings for and I don't want to keep wasting my time
