I'm a proud feminist, who believes in the equality of all people, regardless of which gender they identify with, and aims to reduce misogyny, stereotypes, discrimination and everyday sexism towards any gender.
Assuming you, either male or female, saw someone who you found attractive and went on to find that she was, like me, a feminist. Would you be put off starting a relationship with her? If so, why? Are feminists scary or intimidating? Do you think that they may try and change you? Are there still people who disagree with the concept of equal rights?
There seems to be a negative connotation around the word 'feminist', as if it is a dirty word which still signifies bra-burning and shouting at men who dare to hold a door open for a woman, despite the advancements of the fourth wave of feminism. Men and women should not be afraid of identifying themselves as feminists anymore.
Put the internet to work for you.
