Ok, so I met this guy at a halloween party and we've been going on dates ever since. We haven't slept together yet. I'm a virgin (I'm 21) and he isn't (he's 19) and we're taking it quite slowly. We're not officially 'together' yet but it's getting there. He's told his friends about me and I've met some of them but they like to tease him about me.
Anyway, sometimes we text each other and we can have really nice long convos. He's texted me first on a couple of occasions but it's usually me that starts it off.
He seems to like me quite a bit and when we're together we get on really well. But he doesn't reply to a lot of my texts. I have really bad signal at my house and that doesn't help. I don't know if my texts get through and he has problems with his phone too. But sometimes I'll text him and he just won't reply. He's gone back home for the Christmas holidays and since he's been back he hasn't really texted me. I texted him a couple of times and he usually takes hours to reply. I understand that he might be busy so I didn't let that bother me too much. But often I will text him, he'll text back, I'll text him again and then nothing. So I didn't push - I just left it to see if he'd text back but 6 days later and nothing. So I texted him of Christmas eve. He texted back 4 and a half hours later. I replied within 20 mins and he didn't reply.
He bought me champagne for a christmas present that I opened christmas day. So I put a photo of it on fb and tagged him in it. He didn't comment or like it or anything but his friends (all girls) were teasing him about it on his wall. I thought he might be embarrassed so I untagged him and texted him apologising just in case. He replied ten mins later saying they weren't being nasty, they were just being funny so I replied with 'ahaa ok. how are you?' five mins later and he hasn't texted me back all day.
He and I get on so well when we see each other and he said we would definitely see each other when he gets back in january. he even invited me to stay with him on new year's eve but that never panned out because of his mum's plans. I just don't understand why he would reply to some of my texts and not the others. I'm trying not to look desperate hence why I waited 6 days before texting him again. I'm just confused. If he likes me, why isn't he texting me or at least replying to texts I send?
