Am I being unreasonable?

H and I had a small tiff this morning, and I'm going over it in my head to figure out if I maybe was in the wrong. To set the stage:

H just started school again for the fall semester; he's taking a full load two days a week. The school he goes to is 20 minutes away from our house. Our house is also 20 minutes from my work (in another direction). If I drive him to school, it adds about 10-15 minutes on to my total commute, in addition to picking him up. Also, I have to be at work by 6:45am and his first class isn't until 9am. There's a local transit system but it doesn't have a stop near our home.

So it happens that there's an exercise class on the same days that he has school. A friend of mine from work who lives near us offered to carpool to the exercise class and take me home on those days. I mention this to my husband, and mention that he could have the car on those days and just drive me to work; then he doesn't have to be on campus over 2 hours early.

Well, he doesn't have a school parking permit. That's okay, there's parking near the school that doesn't require a permit. I pointed this out.

Well, won't it cost more gas for him to take the car? Not really, I'm getting a ride home from work those two days and the car would only need to be driven to my work, then to school, then home. Saves us roughly 10-20 miles a day, which adds up.

As far as I can tell, he just doesn't want to drive at all. I told him how this makes me feel like he's taking advantage of me, that I feel a little used and like my opinion doesn't matter (while I was talking to him about it in the car this morning, he decided to search for his headphones). He's inconveniencing me and costing us MORE in gas by having me drive. His response was "well, fine, I'll just walk to school!" instead of just being willing to discuss and consider driving TWO DAYS A WEEK.

I was very upset about this, and still kind of am. So is this an unreasonable request?
