When asking a friend out on a date, should one first consider the fact that the friendship could completely end if they say no? Also, the fact that you are 'just friends' could mean it won't work at all?
Last year I met a girl at uni, we became good friends straight away and I eventually got feelings for her and asked her out. Of course she said no and then we didn't talk any more. At one time I did contemplate not doing it because of the friendship but I went ahead anyway.
So the main 2 questions are...
Can a platonic friendship ever turn into a romantic relationship?
In which circumstances should someone ask their friend out on a date? As in how sure should someone be that they'll say yes, knowing the friendship could end if they say no.
