Should "Halloween" be Cancelled?

Watching and hearing of the unspeakable real, daily horrors we are forced to confront nowadays, and which we can't protect our children from witnessing as well, I Am forced to question how we can allow those who exploit this "holiday," and profit from it, to even further profit from the terrorization of young minds, again, this Oct. 31.

Over only the last few months we have been forced to watch the evening news, and almost nightly, (1) the grisly beheading of the next victim of "ISIS" taking place in front of our eyes and those of our family and children; (2) commentators speculating about the rapidity of the spread of the deadly "Ebola" virus, while politicians beg us to remain calm, as they make it clear that they are completely ignorant of the medical facts of the matter (and even intelligent young minds can detect this), and while every new report mentions enormously expanded numbers of those exposed and testing positive for the virus;(3) various "talking heads" prognosticating about the possibility of the Third World War presently beginning, in the Middle East, as the ranks of ISIS swell explosively with burgeoning numbers joining them from around the world.

I ask you: How much can young minds take before they are permanently damaged? Isn't it enough that we have stolen their future incomes, before they even begin to make them---and to deficit finance the present wastage of money for purely political purposes---without also authorizing the destruction of their minds themselves??

I say that the least we can do, to at least partially compensate for all of this above described abuse of our children's minds and mental composure, is to do everything within our power, as parents, to have nothing to do with "Halloween" this year and to make it clear to any merchants promoting it that we will in future boycott their businesses!
