So I'm having a few issues with my male friend X right now. We're really good friends, and I care about him alot.
Bit of background; we quarrel and jokey-fight alot, yet we can totally put our heads down and study together as well. People around us in our year watch and are amused/entertained by how much we behave like a married couple, even his friends find it funny. People always tease us, even our own teacher in class makes funny comments to the rest of the class when X and I go off on one and start arguing in our own world. We've had a few real fights before, the last one resulting in me not talking to him for a week, him noticing and giving me space, then at the end of the week I went back to him wanting to make up and him telling me he missed me for the first time, expressing some sort of care towards me for the first time.
That's another thing, not necessarily a problem, but he really doesn't care about anyone except his family, making him quite laid back and chilled out.
But lately we've reached a wall; a problem that I am finding hard to solve right now. There's another girl in the year below involved that he's been spending alot of time with lately. Now I'm probably going to sound biased, but she is AWFUL. She is literally despised by most people and struts around thinking she's the Queen Bee with her little minions, bullying and manipulating others like a B****.
Now their whatever-ship didn't really involve me; he'd make an effort to run off and sit with her and her best friend at lunch, during free periods and whatnot. That's another thing, he doesn't tend to make an effort with many people, so this was surprising.
Some drama happened between a girl in her year (let's call her S) and X's best guy friend, and he came and told me. I advised him to keep it to himself to minimise collateral damage for S. A few weeks later I came across some information that proved S's innocence whilst convicting the 'Queen Bee' of manipulation, bullying and causing the whole problem. Before telling X I asked him if he trusted me to know that I wouldn't lie to him and he said yes. So I told him the story and he started off saying he believed me but didn't fully, because of this 'Queen'. I started getting angry at how blinded he is by her and it got heated as he refused to accept it. I've never in my life been mistrusted by anybody, my word is everything.
Anyway, I can't get this stuff out of my head; she's running around telling everyone that they're seeing each other and taking it slow when I don't think he even knows he's in this relationship with her. Trying to wait for the truth to come out is so hard, she's such a horrible person who is going to hurt the boy I care about and I can't do anything because he won't listen to me. And I don't know what to do.
