Why DON'T girls mind if their boyfriend has slept with many girls but not vice versa?

Guys tend to consider girls who've slept around not relationship/wife material, girls seem to care less. This, I think is the biggest reason it's socially acceptable for men to sleep around but not women. Women who complain about this, the reason it is acceptable for guys to sleep around is YOU - it's acceptable because you'll accept it if they do. But why shouldn't they be free to prefer that you don't? If more girls rejected guys because they 'put out' on the first date then the 'double standard' which people complain of would disappear rapidly. I don't think we can blame guys for not wanting women with a colourful sexual past any more than we can blame women not minding guys with a sexually colourful past.
