Why is the divorce of one woman of any interest to busy people? This divorce is hugely important. The way it played out follows a new Hollywod paradigm. The cheating man suffered the most severe consequences! The back story and the protagonists Liberty Ross's husband, Rupert Sanders 41 yo, cheated on her with Kristen Stewart the 22 yo actress who Sanders directed in a high grossing film. It was his directing debut and should have launched his directing career. He had been working towards this for years. The two were captured on film this summer, making out in public places. The cheaters separated from their SO. Kristen only briefly. She came to fame from acting in The Twilight Saga and is in a 4 yr relationship with her Twilight costar, Robert Pattinson. Sanders was dumped in a nano second by the Kristen, served divorced papers after a few months by his wife and his career was tanked. Moreover, Liberty is probably cheating on him with some douche! Usually, the wife stays with her cheating husband, the husband gets a bost in his career for banging a hottie under 25 yo and the girl is shunned in Hollywood and gets to be used by her lover until he gets interested in the next hottie who is 18 yo. Why is this important? Money and lots of it. Kristen has it Sandres didn't. She is the highest grossing actress in Hollywood. If she wasn't bringing in the big bucks, the above scenario may have played out. Liberty had a career as a model before leaving England to support her husband's budding directing career. She has experienced a resurgence of her career and offers of acting jobs. I don't think Sanders ever imagined that he was the one who was taking all the risk. This is new Hollywood. More woman are bringing in the big bucks and getting into positions of power and influence. Besides Kristen's money making power, I think she got some help behind the scenes from influential women like Jody Foster. Oh the message - money, power and position, not rhetoric wins the day. :D | |||
