How totally weird would it be for me to contact H's ex-wife?

I've been toying with the idea of emailing my husband's ex-wife. I don't know if I'd ever actually do it- but it's tempting, because here is this other person- the ONLY other person in the world who has been in my EXACT situation. For some reason she still has his last name- I found her LinkedIn profile so I could contact her at her job. She lives in another state. She was married to him for about 2 years when she left him. I've been married to him a year and a half now and am contemplating moving out. I would really love to know if she experienced some of the same issues I am dealing with...partly just so I know I'm not crazy. Is this a horrible idea? Would you be freaked out or feel like your life was being invaded if you were contacted my your ex's wife?
