Long story short, I moved yesterday and was totally jipped, and my brand new tablet was stolen.
I was quoted an estimated max of $1200 and ended up having to shell out $1900 for 3 men to move half of the contents of a home (divorce situation) 5 miles away. It took them TEN HOURS because of all of their shenanigans (I was quoted 4-5 hours which is reasonable).
I'm following up, but so far no actual conversation about details has taken place. (Email and phone tag) I've typed it all out as if I'm going to send an email so I'm prepared to not miss anything (such as one of them requesting to give my sister's convertible a "spin around the neighborhood" when everyone was done.)
Has anyone ever been able to get a moving company to reimburse them?
