This guy constantly tries to get my attention when he sees me, constantly stares at me intensely, gives me endless compliments 'you're so funny,' 'interesting,' 'everything you say is so thoughtful,' 'you're such an enigma.' I was once totally stressed out and he leaned toward me and said 'I have such such great faith in you.' Whenever we are at an event, he always checks up on me if im ok.
He once yelled at me down the street to stop running away from him!
We have spoken a few times over chat and ever since I started responding to him being flirtatious, he gets very cold and distant. He is less responsive over text, but in person he still stares intensely, but never initiates doing anything and he never asks me out.
I once had to give him something, and he initiated talkig in the university common room, and told me he only had 20 minutes.
I feel threatened by one of his female friends, as they spend a lot of time together-they've had lunch together, watch tv shows together, and talk a lot on chat. He has even asked her out for shisha. I feel quite jealous, but he always pays special attention to me when I am around. His female friend assures me that they are like 'bros' but it hurts how she gets to spend time with him. Is it possible for a guy and girl to be such good friends to do such things together?
What hurts is that he has started ignoring me online and over text, but its weird because I'll see him in person and he wants to talk to me and stares intensely and all that.
I feel like he is leading me on, but I just don't understand why he does this?
