About a year before my fWW's PA, I was waiting outside as three young children were transferred from BS to WS. Both the BS & WS were close friends to me. As she (BS) was unloading the children from the minivan, she stepped around the back of the minivan with tears in her eyes and asked me, "How can I protect my children?". I responded, "WS would never in a million years harm the children".
What I did not realize until I was a BS myself was her fear was not about the harm that might come, but the harm already done. I felt her utter devastation, but the ability to empathize was not there until I had a similar experience. I am so sorry Silvia.
I imagine the same can be said for any traumatic experience. You cannot possibly know until you have misfortune of experience.
Anyone else experience this?
