When me and my friends were younger, we enjoyed showing our power and once put one of our class mates in the school bin (it had a mechanism for locking it from the outside) and it was an hour before he was discovered (sobbing and crying). Anyhow, he was pulled out of school and me and my friends moved on with our lives. Now I am going to university soon and it is a time of reflection. Now I hear that him and his family are in dire financial straights. Could I have had some cause in this. I do not really feel sorry about doing it, we carried him very respectfully (almost like a funeral march) into the bin. However, I am interested academically, do you think I had a role in their situation or am I blaming myself unnecessarily?
