I don't have any friends that I don't know through work.
I had friends in Secondary school but they kind of just vanished when we finished in year 11. My friends in College weren't really friends, more people I got on with (They had a group of friends outside college who always went drinking so I never really fitted in).
I started work right after college and there are some great people there. It's a small company so we see each other every week day. They all have friends outside of work and it's a bit embarrassing when they ask me if I am going out with friends at the weekend. I just say 'I don't know yet' but I have no one to go out with anyway.
I live in such a chavy area the only groups around here are full of pre-pubescent rude kids. The only people around my age are the people I know from work. It was a nice day today and all I did was sit inside bored. Is it weird to ask people from work who I see every day if they want to go to the pub on a sunny Sunday afternoon? I get bored with sitting at home. How do I ask without sounding weird?
