So I met a guy at a student night about 10 days ago. We went to the same university and were really just messing around. I was kind of interested but not dying to get to know him.... was very drunk and just being silly really. Anyway that night he asked for my phone number. He text me later and we didn't talk for a while. Then a couple of days later he text me asking me for coffee.
I thought 'fine, no big deal'... he was new to the university so he would want to meet new people. If anything goes on from that.... then okay. We arranged a time on campus... again, I wasn't hugely excited about it... honestly hadn't given it much thought.
Then he messaged me today telling me that he'd met someone last week (presumably after he met me), that he felt bad and that he wanted to make it clear that coffee would be as 'friends' (I don't know him. How are we friends).
His tone was apologetic but the implication of the apology was that he'd led me on... when it was he that asked for my phone number and asked for coffee. If he'd just mentioned in passing over coffee that he'd met someone then I doubt I'd have thought of it much.
What's this guy's game? Like I didn't like him... barely spoke in fact... it was a crowded nightclub so we were just dancing / jumping around a bit. But the message just threw me a bit as it hasn't happened before.
Put the internet to work for you.
