But I was BORN this way...

A day no longer passes when I do not hear a news item about "gay rights" and the further prohibition of any discrimination against homosexuals in marriage, housing, benefits, and so on. Any criticism of their lifestyle seems to always be met with the plea that "I was born this way." And all of this following upon a recent history of their not only being discriminated against but, in fact, actively and brutally prosecuted by law.

My question is this: What if a man were born fully capable of heterosexual sex, but incapable of engaging in the endless mind games and fatuous charades expected by modern U.S. society as a condition of having a "normal" relationship with a woman which must, inevitably, lead to the long term ---and usually ruinous---legal entanglement of marriage? What if such a man wished to avoid marriage, yet have his sexual needs fulfilled, without the enormous investment in time and energy normally required to do so? What if he simply wished to pay an honest prostitute for her services, when needed, then go back to work in his intensive struggle for success?

Should such a man as described above be condemned? If so, on what basis? If homosexuals justify their behaviour based upon having been "born" having to behave this way why, then, should a person such as me---having been born as I am---not demand that I no longer be persecuted for the behaviour which I was born needing and, in fact, that the honest prostitutes with whom I deal no longer be arbitrarily persecuted for satisfying this imperative need I have?? Yes, I say BORN this way because I have never been able to behave otherwise and do not wish too!
