Validation or Advice? That's the question.

From time to time, I notice that some commentators post their cases just to get some sort of validation. To prove that they are right. There is nothing wrong with that. But why not state it from the start!? What I dislike the most is when you give your opinion, based solely on the info they give you, and it does not coincide with their own perception. They say something like "but you don't know my husband/wife and our situation". I usually think, "No, I most certainly don't. But you don't either. Otherwise, what the hell are you doing here!?" I'm just venting...
