help need advice on what to do now and what is best please

me and my ex were together for 2.5 years. long distance relationship she is going to france for a year to study in September and another year studying after that, she feels she might possibly change in france and its unfair for us to be together as we dont want to restrict each others lives and ruin what we had since the start of the year we have noticed cracks with each other, and on my behalf i feel since she stated that she is going to france for uni and thinks its best we break up for that, it has made me more distant with her. we have been through the conversation of her leaving and if we should stay together a lot .. i mean alot. (so we have got this mutual decision to break up and be really mature about it) and the last time we saw each other this was a main topic, but we didnt really decide what to do and now we have both had time to think about it apart but now its finally happened and we have broke up. she rang me up and told me "we should break up as we just dont work" "im really sorry its on the phone" "i still love you" conclusion is i feel the same way but obviously have been caught off guard a bit with the breaking up on the phone as i was willing to wait till we see each other and discuss it in person. she comes back to where i live near the end of the june untill she leaves in september. p.s we didnt know if it was best to enjoy the summer together and each others birthdays before she went to france or break up sooner to relieve the pain and move on... evidently the latter has happened now but it feels sad. she is busy doing exams atm and revising. so do i contact her to see if she is ok and how she is doing or do we leave each other alone? do iw ait for her? its still quite fresh and raw atm has been 4 days. but atm i feel very much like i want to see her but i guess thats as i still have feelings. thanks guys
