Hello!
I have a question about what would be fair in this situation.
I own a home (I am a single mom, bought a home last year). I put $42,000.00 down and my mortgage payment is $1,100.00 a month.
My partner also owns a home, and now rents it because he has moved into my home. His property now nets a profit every month. So...he currently has NO living expenses in the world. He earns twice what I do as far as income goes, if that matters.
He proposes to pay for half of the utilities MINUS what we figured my two children use per month. He also proposes to pay $200.00 toward the mortgage/housing, for a grand total of $400.00 a month for him for all of his living expenses and utilities in life.
I feel that he wouldn't even be able to rent an apartment (utilities included) for $400.00 a month, and that I am being taken advantage of.
What do you think is fair?
Thanks for any thoughts on this !!!!
