Convenience as in:
1. you can share the rent rather than only one person pay for it (which also gives you an excuse not to house share with total strangers)
2. both of you are earning an income rather than just 1, so more money is brought in each month
3. your partner can help you out with things you may not be comfortable with, such as DIY, financial stuff, dealing with bills etc. that you might not be so good at dealing with on your own (this mainly applies to girls because guys are usually competent in this sort of stuff)
4. moral support, being able to tell people you have a place with your gf/bf and not live on your own (makes it awkward cos people might think you're a loner)
Might have missed some reasons. So more out of convenience than anything. Is this the main reason why people have relationships after uni? And perhaps stay in this relationship even if they don't especially love the person, because the cost of finding a different place on your own is too much?
Put the internet to work for you.
