Anon or delete. I've been going out with this girl for 4 and half months now, and things are going really well. Only problem is, even though it's still quite early in the relationship, she keeps bringing up university and whether I want to continue the relationship.
She's going to Plymouth, and i'm going to Newcastle. The distance is worrying, as well as what I have heard about Long Distance Relationships often breaking up shortly into the first year. There's also the fact my parents are moving to London together, which makes it even more impractical to see each other in the holidays. But on the other hand, things are going really well between us so I could see myself giving a LDR a shot. But to be honest, i don't really want to commit either way just yet, I've taken a wait and see sort of attitude, to see how i feel closer to the time.
But she's the sort of person that plans the future well out in advance, and so is getting quite agitated with my "cross that bridge when we come to it" attitude. She gets quite upset when I tell her I just don't know at this stage. I don't want to lie to her and tell her that I'm definitely going to keep the relationship going when I really do not know. I'm just not willing to commit to a 3 year contract until i'm entirely sure. Any thoughts on what to say to her or what to do?
Put the internet to work for you.
