Tell boyfriend about disability?

Hi guys, if this could remain anonymous it will be great! Firstly, I should clarify that he's not actually my boyfriend in official terms 'cause we've been seeing each other for about 5 months and didn't make anything official. Now to the main bit. I am blind in my left eye due to an accident when I was young. The eye is disfigured but I have a prosthetic lens which covers the eye so it looks identical to my right eye. However, I still can't see from that eye. This doesn't affect my day-to-day activities and the only issues I have are watching 3D films and driving. But I live in a city so transport is not an issue. As I mentioned, I've been seeing this guy since the end of January this year and I honestly don't know if I should tell him about the eye because I'm worried about his reaction. I know I have to mention it sometime but I don't if I should wait until/if we become official to reveal it. It is my single greatest insecurity which I only tell my friends once I've known them for a while and I was wondering if I should do the same with him? Is this lying? Please help. It's eating me alive.
