European long distance relationship worth it?

Hi, if my sister dates a guy for a few months, and he moved to Germany, and she's in London, could a LDR potentially work? He already added her on skype and he's always told his friends about her. Is it worth pursuing? Just being a protective sibling I suppose. I don't want her getting hurt.
