My ex boyfriend has bipolar disorder, and every so often he would have either a manic or a depressive episode, which we could deal with and get over with no problem. But he broke up with me two weeks ago, having been horrid for about a month before that, and even worse since the break up. He had gone to a party and gotten drunk, and has been told by some of his friends that he kissed a few people, however some of my friends were there who are confused, saying it never happened. He then continued to break up with me, not giving me a reason why.
However now he has told me that he has been experiencing a manic episode over the past month and a half, and that he never wanted to be the way that he was or to break up with me, and that he misses me. He is very apologetic, and understands that I don't want to get hurt again the next time he experiences a manic episode.
The thing is though, I do want him back, the only thing stopping me is that I don't know if I could handle another episode like this, but supposedly it doesn't normally happen, and might not ever happen again.
Any advice on whether or not to take him back, and what I should consider before making a decision would be massively appreciated, thanks in advance! :)
