"I think I'm falling for you."

OK, I'm going to try to make this as short as possible as (I think) it's the first time I've ever used the relationships forum.

So I met a guy at a summer festival last year who was on placement from Texas. He was, in essence, brilliant - hilarious and cute and everything, really. So by the time it came to leaving, he gave me his Skype and phone number, since he'd be leaving to go back to the US in a couple of weeks.

Throughout the months, we text each other quite a lot, but could only Skype twice as we live in different time zones (he's six hours before me, if that makes much sense). Still, we managed to keep in contact, talking to each other more or less every single day about everything - from funny and light-hearted to deep and (hopefully this isn't cringey) kind of dark stuff. He has mild paranoid-schizophrenia and depression, basically, but that didn't made me like him any less.

We had our last Skype chat a week ago, during which he asked me to be his Valentine "in a sense", seeing as how he couldn't take me out to dinner (his words, not mine!) and I accepted. I was really happy.

And then just this morning, I received a text from him with this:
"Roses are red,
Violets are blue
You may not know this
But I think I'm falling for you."

Now...I don't know how to respond to this. I really, really like him too, but I'm aware of the difficulties concerning geography; he's on the other side of the world, I guess, and it's difficult enough trying to plan these Skype chats. Because I'm 6 hours ahead of him, I sometimes don't go to bed until four o'clock, and then have to wake up at 8 for 9 o'clock morning lectures.

I guess because I've never been in this situation, I'm a little stuck on how to approach this. Plus: I know it sounds extremely stupid to ask, but what does "I think I'm falling for you" mean, exactly? Does it mean he likes me, or a bit more than that? I don't know. I'm just hella confused, and thought the expertise TSRians offer would be extremely helpful. :p

Thanks in advance, guys!
