Hi, well I'll explain the situation first just so you guys get the jist. Me and my boyfriend have been together almost two years and are considering University now. At the moment, we can only see each other on weekends due to distance (around 80 miles), and we've been looking forward to Uni as it's a chance we can live together.
Before anyone says "Don't base your university choice on him" or "You might not enjoy living together" or "You might break up". I'm not basing my choice on him, we're different people but finding two universities near each other would be really handy. We've also had times where we've been living together for about a month and we are fine. And yes, we may not be together forever, but in this case, let's assume we will be.
I'd just like to hear from a couple that went to uni together and how the financial side worked out, or how you managed to find a way round not living together. Or any advice from anyone that would know how the university accommodation system works, or if anyone knows options we could look at.
Thanks for the advice!
