Would guys find this intimidating?

I'm an Engineering student and as you probably know- its very male dominated- on my course there are about 30 other women out of 350 people. And spend a lot of time with them- i.e. project work and general socialising. I also find I get on better with guys sometimes rather than girls Would you this-as a guy find this intimidating if you were to date someone in this situation? Personally I don't see this as a problem but some of my male friends said it might affect them ( no idea how) thanks
