Sorry for posting this here but I really wanted this to be anonymous because my parents know I use this site and know my name. My father tells me off, only wanting me to focus on 'academia' etc.
But I'm really curious about these industries. Being in the entertainment or music or film industry, how has it been and how did you get into it?
I want to do so and I have to choose what to study at university but can't see any thing yet that would be very useful. I thought film studies as I have interests in acting and maybe even directing but others doing it are saying I should just pick up a camera and start, that I don't need uni for it. I thought law since it's great to know about your rights as an artist lol idk. I really want to go to the US, maybe I'm wrong but it feels like they would be more opportunities out there for someone such as me who wants to be an independent artist, actress, songwriter but and many other things with performance and maybe business.
