Why do some people indirectly put others down. For example there's a woman I know tall very good looking, athletic good at running and has just had a baby. She still comes out with comments that kind of put others down a bit but in an indirect way. For example I've never been as good as her at anything physical but for some reason I'm able to do more pull ups in the gym than her, when I did she said 'cow' in a joking way and then kept saying she didn't know how I beat her. later on she said in front of people 'give me running anyday it's a proper sport not like pull-ups where you just need low body weight'. Another time when she wasn't that fit (and Her 33 year old fitness freak team mate had trained very hard for half a year) her team mate beat her at a 10k race and at the end when discussing our runs she said in front of her 'never mind I'd rather have a life than spend everyday training at least I have a child and family that's more important than training 2 4/7 like some do' basically referring to this 33 year old who is single, no kids.
Of course nothing was made of it but Ive noticed she does this a lot. She's got no real reason to be jelous or anything though as she's got a good life (or seems to have) I just don't get why some people have this attitude does anyone know people like this?
