Blimey is it really 5 years since the last one.
Today we here in the UK vote for out 630 Members of Parliament. I currently live in the constituency of Plymouth Sutton and Devonport which is Conservative (Centre Right Party). However I personally voted for Labour (Centre Left).
Does our result effect anyone around the globe? We've been under the coalition of Conservative/Liberal Dems but it's looking very likely that Labour and the SNP (Scottish National Party) will possibly form the next government.
This means that the next UK Prime Minister could be a chap called Ed Milliband rather than David Cameron.
However- in line with other European countries, we have a "Far Right" party doing rather well. Not facist, but called UKIP (UK Independance Party) and they want us to leave the European Union and trade independence with other countries.
The polls close here UK time at 10pm this evening (under 5 hrs left) and the results will start to come in literally within the hour, as some areas via to be the first to declare (for example Sunderland, Newcastle Upon Tyne Central and Cheltenham).
I'll update during the night as I love election night- and I think it's going to be very very close. The last polls had the 2 main parties on 34% each.
To form a working UK Government- the winning post is 326 seats. (less if Sinn Fein members are elected in Northern Ireland as they refuse to take their seats in London)
