I should just say before I start that I've got anxiety, whilst it's not that serious it does mean I tend to overthink things!
My boyfriend of three weeks is coming to stay with me next week for a couple of nights. We've already shared a bed (but not gone all the way) so I'm not worried about things in that respect. We've been friends for nearly six months now so it's not too soon, don't worry! He's my first proper boyfriend - I'm 19 - so this is all pretty new to me :$
Sometimes we run out of stuff to talk about... and it doesn't bother me because I often have times of silence even when I talk to my family or my best friends and I'm quite a quiet person anyway. But often he brings it up by saying something sarcastic like 'we're so good at conversation aren't we?' which just makes it more awkward.
He was in a long term relationship before me so i can't help but feel that he must've talked quite a lot more with his ex. Any good ways to get over this occasional awkwardness? :S obviously two days together is going to be quite intense when we're used to seeing each other for a couple of hours or so in the evening... so it's pretty likely we'll run out of things to chat about :( also any ideas as to what we could do together whilst he's staying here?
A friend told me that when she first started going out with her boyf the first few weeks were kinda awkward as they got comfortable around each other - anybody else had the same? I still feel like i'm adjusting to him being my boyfriend and not just my friend.
any reassurance/advice would be great :D
