Hey, I have a brief question about lies within a relationship and I'd be keen to know what other people see as 'normal' and/or if they've had a similar experience. Basically, the guy I've been out with for like 9months now lied about the length of his previous relationship- He told me it lasted about 3 years but I realised through looking through facebook photos it was more like 5-6 years, perhaps even longer, facebook only stated in 2007! When we first got together, this relationship had ended about a month before we met, although I quickly learnt that there were still problems with his ex as she didn't want to accept the break-up and took a long time to move her stuff out of his flat despite having apparantly lived else where for the past month before I met him. Am I being unfair to worry about this? Should I bring this up with him or not mention it? I'm just curious as to why he didn't tell me the truth? And also thinking if he has something to hide? Maybe I'm weird, but I honestly don't mind talking about past relationships, my boyfriend has never asked and he's unlikely to ever know unless he does. | |||
