Okay so I have landed myself in such a dilemma !! Basically I was really friendly with this guy who one of my best friends has been in love with for years. He began to like me as more than a friend and asked me out for a drink. I didn't want to let him down in front of his friends so I said yes but I knew that this would really hurt my friend. I talked to her about it and she said that she was fine about it (even although I knew that she wasn't inside). I began to wish I had never arranged the date because even although I did kinda like him, I knew that it would never work out. However my other friends just told me to go because it would be fun and because I couldn't back out now. So I went on the date with him and it was all quite friendly until just before I went for my train he asked me out for a second time. I knew I had to say no this time because I didn't want to mess him around and plus it wouldn't be fair on the friend who really liked him. I told him no and that we could only be friends but he assumed straight away that I didn't want to go out with him because of this other girl. I said for us to leave it and then we went our separate ways. That evening I got a text from him saying that we could go out behind her back and that we didn't need to tell anyone. I told him that it was unfair and not right for me to hurt other people. Once again I told him that I wasn't interested and told him to leave the other girl out of it. That night I got a really nasty text from his friend accusing me of a story that was completely twisted and not true. I'm scared that this boy is telling other people the wrong story and making me look like the bad guy when its not true. I was just trying to keep both sides happy when in fact I have ended up a total mess !! Please help !! What should I do ???? | |||
