How do you define progress in marriage?
My husband and I are opposites in several ways. We have some clashing idiosyncrasies. I love him for his, and he loves me for mine but when they start bumping against each other, it can be a little brutal.
One of the ways I have defined progress in my marriage is when we start pushing those buttons, we now can step back a little bit before it becomes full on punching.
It happened this morning and it's one of those clear pictures where I look back 3 years ago to what happened today and it's a world of difference.
Maybe our next step will be to figure out how to stop pushing.
