Was I really sounding like a feminist?

I was discussing my personal opinion with this male poster that was asking if equal rights meant hitting women back and seem to be boosting about it. This is a very sensitive topic to me (for personal reasons I'm not gonna discuss) but was clearly trying to be fair. Then suddenly I get called a feminist. That word has been transformed into a negative connotation.

This was the argument with this male poster:
Would you hit a woman back since its about equal rights? - GirlsAskGuys

I'm the Vesuvius poster and he is the asker. I felt he was being antagonist by the way he was replying and thinking it was funny to hit back (as well as using words like ''white knight fag'') and then replied that he would hit back harder and made a lol on my answer. He blocked me before I even had the chance to replied back. Plus, I've been bullied verbally and emotionally at school from grades 4th to 7th mainly (yes, I was somewhat of a nerd) and I don't see why is that even a laughing matter.

I was clearly honest about getting away from anyone that starts hitting me and filing assault charges immediately. I have no idea how I'm I a feminist. I'm tired of more guys using this word as an insult and thinking just because it's a woman that doesn't agree with their views on that specific topic that it's a feminist.
