When I meet strangers they either assume that I'm the stereotypical Asian who works all day and has no social life and hence nothing interesting to talk about, but this isn't true. I was born in the UK so I have pretty much the same interests as everyone else and even though I'm not the most confident person I do try and make an effort to talk to people, but they still seem to ignore me as if I'm not good enough for them and I won't get their 'banter' (cringe)It's like they're being indirectly racist?
Would you ignore someone because of their ethnicity?
Put the internet to work for you.
