NB if there is a blank for a few hours where you don't know what happened, that counts. You don't have to have forgotten the entire night (that's anyway unlikely because you only gradually get drunker as the night goes on). But
(1) physically passing out does not count. Only vote yes if you were incredibly drunk, but still physically capable of doing things, and in fact did something, but afterwards could not remember AT ALL what it was.
(2) Only having lost some details of the memory but still having access to vague/fuzzy memories of the key events of the night also does not count as "not remembering" in this context, as you are still remembering something.
I'm just curious because this has never happened to me although my alcohol tolerance is very low, and as a student I used to think people just say this because they are embarrassed about throwing up all over the place and don't want to take responsibility. I have read of so many examples since those days that I am now more inclined to accept that it actually happens to some people, but I would like to know how common / likely this really is.
