OK, a bit of a long story and post.
TLDR :- A girl who I used to hang out with and my girlfriend had a fight. Seemed to me that the other girl was instigating it all along. Reason to this?
Was out Friday with my girlfriend, we went to the IKEA store as we needed some new furniture.
Prior to that, there was this girl who my guess is she likes me, (We'll call her Sarah) we did use to hang out a lot and often did stuff together at her place as I often brought my son to her house to play with her daughter of the same age and we would watch some shows on tv (Usually it only last for 15 minutes or as that is how soon it takes for me to fall asleep in front of a tv) My ex and her are friends too and she didn't mind if I slept over or took a trip somewhere, was a non-issue to spend time with her.
Anyway, she did ask me what I was doing that morning and I told her I was going to IKEA sometime in the day. She said she would be there (I didn't tell her the time) as she needed to get stuff from there. I didn't pay much attention to it as my girlfriend and me had planned it that this was what we were doing for Valentine's Day.
While having lunch at IKEA, Sarah shows up. I introduced my girlfriend to her, she gave a glance and ignored her but continued talking to me. She then said she was buying quite a lot and asked if I would like to go over to her place to help assemble it. My girlfriend became rather agitated at the suggestion and told to hurry up, finish eating so we could get on with the day. I told Sarah I couldn't help her but could do so another time and I then told her we had to make a move as I had loads to do.
While at the home-office section, my girlfriend was looking at the desks and I was at the chairs, Sarah showed up again, she started talking to me again and this time she also kept placing her hands on my back and arm and each time I sat on a chair she placed both her hands on my shoulders. I then mentioned to her that my girlfriend doesn't particularly share the same tolerance level of other girls around me as the ex did so she should probably keep some distance. She started on that it didn't matter. My girlfriend saw what was happening and she came over quickly took my arm, saying she had found the perfect desk and I got pulled to a different section (I could tell she wasn't happy from the way she gripped my arm)
While showing me the desk, Sarah came by and made a whole bunch of unnecessary comments and started saying which desks she liked and the one that I should have. My girlfriend became rather ticked off and told Sarah that we were on a Valentine's Day date and would appreciate it if she left us alone. I told Sarah I would call her sometime next week and we could catch up then. She then said yes she should get on with her shopping too. She then left. I thought that was the end of it. We selected the chairs and desks we wanted and picked up a few other stuff.
We then moved on to the bedroom section, Sarah was there and pretended as if we had bumped into her again. She gave this sly look to my girlfriend and asked if I had found all we were looking for. I told her we were almost there. Girlfriend quickly pulled me to the display unit of the bed we had earlier agreed upon and told me to lay on the bed which I did and she quickly cuddled me. I told her if she liked it then it is the one we must have. She said she would go order it from the counter, she then noticed Sarah hovering about and said yes she will go order it so we could bring it home and try it out that very night.
While she was ordering the bed, I noticed another bed that I had not seen before and went to look at it to see how the mechanism to it worked. Sarah came by and again started touching me on the back and arm. I told her she should really keep some distance as my girlfriend was already somewhat agitated, then while trying to close the bed she ran her hand on my butt and squeezed it, it seemed to me that she wanted my girlfriend to see what she was doing. Girlfriend came over and told Sarah to keep her hands to herself and that she didn't want to see her touching me, talking to me or being within 100m of me again. She also kept going very close to Sarah and while backing away Sarah tripped on to a bed. Sarah got up from the bed and started challenging her as to what she would do if it happened. I pulled my girlfriend away and told her it was perhaps time we headed home. My girlfriend followed me, obviously could tell by the way she gripped my arm that she was furio us.
Anyway we checked out, loaded all we had purchased, as soon as we loaded up Sarah showed up and parked behind our vehicle. Sarah came out of her car doing a cat walk and said now that we were outside she wanted to hear what was going to happen. I told Sarah to go away and she was simply damaging it for everyone. She started saying damage it may be but she could fix what she wanted to fix after that. She then flashed her Range Rover key and also her Hermes handbag, then asked my girlfriend whether she had the same. I told my girlfriend we should go as it was getting cold and let's not waste any more time. Thankfully my girlfriend got into the vehicle and we headed home. She was fine after that.
During the night she did send quite a few Whatsapp messages, I told her I can't talk to her that night so will call her another day.
Haven't spoken to her yet.
Am quite surprised, what was Sarah's intentions here?
What the heck was she doing? I mean no doubt she is the daughter of a very rich man and obviously has plenty of easy money to her name.
She certainly is good looking and intelligent too (she is a LSE graduate) However what on earth was she thinking trying to instigate such a fight as my girlfriend is 185cm and is a black belt while Sarah is 160cm and is the usual soft lady-like one.
